Two sisters, plus a dead mother, a remarried father, and a hostile step-mother. The sisters, each in her way, have perfected the art of losing. The elder, Rose, is an attorney, responsible, lonely, with a closet full of shoes. The younger is Maggie, beautiful, selfish, and irresponsible. Her drunken behavior gets her tossed by her step-mother from her dad's house; worse behavior gets her tossed from Rose's apartment. Then, while searching in her father's desk for money to filch, Maggie finds an address; the past and the future open up to her and, with any luck, may open to her sister as well.

I have all this "chick movie" talk. This is a wonderful film. I did not expect a Hollywood In Her Shoes Romance to have characters with depth and a complex family history. Cameron Diaz is a great comedy actress (regardless of their apparent sex appeal). Shirley MacLaine plays underestimated older women and Toni Collenette remains an excellent actress. There was good chemistry between the three. Some of the characters, especially in Florida are very good. As a man I hope that this "small film" speak not deter serious In Her Shoes film assistants who want to have a good time at the reunion movies. This is an intelligent movie: In Her Shoes for adults, not aimed at the 15-19 age set.

What does this girl on the top film: In Her Shoes is Cameron Diaz. It was a great performance and that it carries the film. I did not expect that. The only other time that I remember it was almost as good in "Being John Malkovich" and, of course, "Something About Mary." She is a good actress, but what makes the wrong choice in some functions, which is their fault. The DivX Movie In Her Shoes itself is much better than I ever expected. Most movies would like chicken but sappiness "In Her Shoes" rises well above that. Director Curtis Hanson can breathe each scene and not rush things. Characters have the opportunity to express themselves through subtle dialogue and good conversations. Really know these people. Shirley McClain as the grandmother of two sisters brings warmth and intelligence to each scene that was in. There are some funny moments but mostly it is a drama. There are some very moving scenes, especially with Diaz and an old man in a nursing home who befriends. There aa few flaws here and there, as there are a lot too many coincidences, and the exaggerated image of the mother in law, but nothing bad enough to make a difference. Toni Collette and all other actors also do a great job. I'm a little kid and I'm addicted to this movie, I saw a couple of times. Weird. Congratulations to Cameron Diaz in a great performance.
